Wigging
Made Simple
|

This
bald beauty will go from this... |

...to
this , in just a few easy steps. |
|
I will try not to be so chatty here, and let the pictures do all the
talking.
Supplies are easily obtained and you only need a
few.
This is a very EASY hairstyle to
create
and is suitable for beginners as well as the more advanced doll
artist.
Supplies:
|

Paper clips
Candle or stove top

Notes about
supplies:
The paper clips and
knitting needles will be used as "rods" to curl the hair
on.
The needle tool or
rose tool will simply aid in placing glue or hair exactly where
you need it without having your fingers get stuck in the hair and making it fuzzy.
The Barbie brush or eyebrow brush is great for combing out the hanks of
viscose before curling it.
Note: Don't get
carried away here, the viscose is a spun
fiber,
so combing is not always necessary. Use
only if hair is rough or needs smoothing.
The oven is used to dry and set the curl in place.
It is heated at a low temp of about 200 - 225 degrees.
The candle or stove top is used to burn off the tiny
"fuzzies" that will occur.
It will give your curls a tight and sleek look and is a necessary step to achieve
a professional, polished look.
You can use any setting
lotion, "leave-in" conditioner, or even fabric softener to help
the curls maintain their shape, but just heat setting it in the oven and letting
it cool completely will also be sufficient.
It depends on how curly you need your doll's hair to be.
